What are ‘transaction fees’ and how much are they?
Transaction fees help cover some of the associated costs of operating our ticketing system. Currently all transactions come with a fee of $3 except for merch sales at the box office.
Do you accept Companion Cards?
YES! The card allows your chosen companion or carer to go with you to participating entertainment, recreation venues and activities without paying for a ticket. Just bring the card with you. For booking select the Companion Card option when checking out and bring the card with you to the show.
Who can access concession pricing?
Students of all kinds, pensioners, Seniors Card participants, people on centrelink, those who are unhoused/unwaged and other concession holders can access this ticketing price. If applicable just bring your appropriate card with you.
Can I be a volunteer with the festival?
Yes! We love new people joining the Darwin Fringe Family. However you must be over 18. Sign up here.
When does Darwin Fringe recruit staff?
Our team is made up of only a handful of paid positions, most of which are currently filled. When special project coordinator roles pop-up or box office work becomes available we will post this on our website, newsletter and socials in the lead up to the festival.
I’m an Artist, how can I get involved?
Darwin Fringe Festival is proudly open-access, so ANYONE can join in. Sign up to our creative network or newsletter to receive direct updates about this process. Applications generally open in October the year before (about 10 months before the Festival in July).
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets go on sale on May1 and can be purchase online or over the phone. The box office will be set up from late May/ early June after the program is released.
What does the virtual waiting room mean?
This screen shows up as a defence against hack attacks and usually means the ticketing company we use Ticketsearch is receiving a high amount of traffic. Don’t worry though it doesn’t mean something bad’s happening, it may mean a massive event has gone on sale somewhere else. If you wait a few seconds this screen should go away. We apologise for any inconvenience.
When should I arrive to see the show?
At least 15 minutes before the event as doors will usually open around 5-10 minutes before the show so we can have everyone seated in time to begin as the designated time. Want to grabs drinks and snack? Arrive even earlier!
How can I find out about accessibility of shows?
