In THIS IS THE WORST: Dating, Disasters, and the advice that makes it even worse, comedian, Mariah O’Dea (#thenewme (2022)) returns to explore the world of dating, relationships, and the awful advice that comes with it. Armed with a powerpoint, THIS IS THE WORST combines stand up, sketch, satire and way too much oversharing on our current dating landscape, sharing her unfortunate experiences with it.
The apps, the ick, The Run Clubs, first dates, break ups, situationships, the back and forth, round and round, rejection after rejection… all to find ‘the one?’ Why is dating now a worse chore than ironing? Do we really learn anything from date after date or is dating for the plot (of this show) the only meaning behind it?
