Are you the next Australian Poetry Slam Champion? All you need is an original poem and two minutes on the mic. If you are one to shine from the audience, join us to cheer, snap, hold-up scorecards in this nation-wide celebration of spoken-wordsmiths.
Whether you’re performing as a poet or supporting local wordsmiths from the crowd – this is the place to be.
The winner from the Top End heat goes on to represent the Northern Territory at the national finals.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Red Dirt Poetry is a collective of poets working together to share their love of poetry and help support the spread of poetry in the Northern Territory. Born from over a decade of Laurie May’s poetry practice, The Dirty Word collective and Red Dirt Poetry Festival we’ve combined to create a super group that’s here to help you reach your creative goals.

- Being a competition open to the public we aren’t aware of content in advance but check on sign ups to ensure a safe space and MC’s are aware of practice to shut anything down if need be.
