What We Do With Words
SPOKEN WORD & IDEAS
“What We do With Words” started when a group of unassuming authors emerged from their study spaces and other windowless, poorly ventilated, offices to start giving each other encouragement. This positive energy lead quite a few members of the group to believe that they possess more than perseverance but may also be talented in ways that can only be described as unique.
When the writers came together it was no coincidence that their work was heavily focused on NT topics and even more so on what is happening in Darwin. Each of our participants has a different perspective and tells stories about what and how they’ve found themselves in the tropical north.
About the collective
Our group consists of a wide range of writers, we have one published author, many aspiring novelists and two performance poets. The stories that we tell match our diverse experiences. Although we are from different backgrounds we match each other for levels of enthusiasm.
