2025 DARWIN FRINGE PERFORMANCE APPLICATION

Apply now to perform as a part of our curated program in the 2025 Program. This application is for pop up or musical performances who aren’t looking to present a ticketed show and are happy to accept a fee instead. We have limited opportunities meaning that we want to hear about your great art and unique voice before programming.

Although our program is open access we will not accept performances that:

Aren’t safe (emotionally or physically)

Directly compete with existing festival events or core programming

Don’t fit with the Fringe mission or vision

Doesn’t align with our No TRAASH Policy

TECHNICAL & PRODUCER WORKSHOP ~ NEW
We will be running a free Technical and Producing Introduction Workshop on Saturday March 15th, 2025. All successful Fringe applicants will be invited and strongly encouraged to attend this day as it will help you prepare and communicate your needs with our team. The workshops will give you access to free resources and templates as well as LOTS of industry knowledge. Final details about the workshops will be shared with successful participants in January.

WE RECOMMEND | Some tips for completing your application:

Read through all application questions and copy them into another document. Then fill out your answers in that document before copying them back into this form. That way you don’t lose what you’ve written.

Make sure you’ve read our Artist Pack before applying.

OPTIONS
There is a section at the bottom to supply video or audio files with answers to the questions if this is a preferred option to writing. We are also happy to accept your answers via email if you struggle with the online form or you can organise to call and dictate your answers to a team member. Ultimately feel free to reach out with any concerns and we can find a way that works for you.

Fee

This application is for performances that will accept a fee and not take home any box office income. If you would like to present a ticketed show where you take home the box office then we recommend completing either a Hub (shows in Brown’s Mart Precinct, Darwin Entertainment Centre or Dom’s Bar & Lounge) or General (shows in any other venue) Application.

Please provide an image to accompany your event listings in our printed program and on our website. This is NOT the last time that you can supply this content, successful applicants will have another chance to submit a final image so if you have a future photoshoot planned that’s fine, you can submit something temporary. Final images are due April 6th in order to be included in the print program.

– Your marketing image should not contain any text (even if it’s the title of your show)

– Photographs are recommended wherever possible.
– Minimum 72 PPI at 2000px delivered as TIFF, JPG or EPS
