Fresh Yarns
Fresh Yarns Registration
Are you a visual artist or writer living in Darwin aged 12-25? Looking for an opportunity to develop your storytelling skills and express your ideas? Want your work to feature in an anthology alongside fellow young creatives?
Darwin Emerging Creatives is collaborating with us in celebration of our 10th anniversary to present a series of FREE workshops during Youth Week for emerging storytellers to create their own short stories or comics that will be featured in a zine anthology.
This zine will be available to view online and physical copies will be distributed to participants.
All workshop participants will also be given the opportunity to table at the Incubator Zine Fair in July free of charge and be profiled on the Darwin Emerging Creatives Instagram page leading up to the event.
What’s an Anthology?
An anthology is a collection of written works compiled into a single publication. For this project, these works can be anything from a short comic or written story to poetry or song lyrics. We strongly encourage cross-creative-discipline collaboration between writers and artists, for example, an artist could illustrate a work to accompany a written piece.
If you’re interested in participating in Fresh Yarns don’t delay. We have limited space in these workshops!
