Hot Girlz love (Nature) Therapy

July 12 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Do you identify as Hot, Queer and/or Here (to spend quality time introspecting while soaking in the beauty of the natural world)?

The cuties at Hot Girls Birdwatching know that therapy is expensive, and that we all (probably) need it. Don your most fabulous fit and join us for a chance to see queens such as the rose crowned fruit dove, rainbow pitta, shining flycatcher and many more serve in their natural habitat before settling down for an art journaling session led by a local queer Darwin artist.

All levels of artistic and birdwatching experience are welcome. We will have a few sets of binoculars on hand for those who don’t have their own and some art supplies will be provided, but it is recommended participants bring their own notebooks and materials in their preferred medium to use.

Hot Girls Birdwatching is committed to fostering a safe and supportive community centering those who identify as women, femme, queer, non-binary or otherwise as part of the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. Please note this activity requires physical movement outdoors – please bring water, snacks and sun protection as needed. Path is wheelchair accessible. The art journaling session will be held picnic style on grass. If you require alternate seating arrangements please contact us prior to the event.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Hot Girls Birdwatch is out here to prove that birdwatching isn’t just for the pale, stale and male – it’s for the girls, gays and theys. Our mission is to connect our community with the joy of exploring the natural world – and look hot while doing it.
