Art lives on!

You can take the creative out of the art but you can’t take the art out of the creative. Despite the festival cancellation some of these events have found safe ways to share their work and bring people together. Originally a part of the 2021 Darwin Fringe program, these shows are now kicking on in their own way.

FUTURE FLORA

On display now. An immersive small sculpture exhibition with artworks in the show resembling flora with an abstract twist. Crafted with Recycled materials.

NO NICE NATIVES?

The first ever exhibition from local painter Stephanie Brooke. An exploration of native botanicals from around the Territory using contrasted colour and intricate pattern. This body of work is in response to being told by a nursery owner that ‘there are no nice native plants int he Northern Territory.’

DO I SEDUCE YOU?

The first ever solo show from creative Tarzan Jungle Queen. Queer bodies are often seen only for their similarities and differences to the male and female body. ‘Do I seduce you?’ is both parody and provocation – asking you to look closely and consider your own sexual response.

FRINGE OF THE FRINGE
~ Comedy Festival

Fringe of the Fringe brings together top local and interstate comedians for a week of raucous comedy in the Lucky Bat beer garden. Some of the comedy shows from the program were re-scheduled into this week with 8 shows to chose from!
