2025 Secret Art Registration

Are you a visual artist living in Darwin aged 12-25? Looking for an opportunity to exhibit your latest artwork? Want exhibition experience?
We’ve partnered up with LAUNCH Darwin to present another Secret Art Exhibition, a platform created to provide emerging artists with a new opportunity to share their latest creations and unseen works in progress.

As a part of being involved with this opportunity you will also be offered the opportunity to attend a workshop where you will be taught about hanging work and preparing it for display. Date and time to be announced.

IMPORTANT DATES

Applications close: Sunday, 1 June at midnight
Applications confirmed: After clicking submit our Producer will get in touch to approve your application
Artwork due: Monday, 30 June – we will let you know if this changes
Exhibition opening: Friday, 4 July 5.30-7:30pm
Exhibition closes: Thursday, 24 July 4:00pm
Exhibition location: UNTiTLED gallery, 3/1 Caryota Court Coconut Grove

GUIDELINES

Types of work can include all forms of media (painting, digital art, drawing etc) however no hazardous or unsafe materials or sculptures will be accepted. The work just needs to be able to hang on a wall or sit on a surface. Unfinished, works in progress are also very much welcome and interactive pieces are encouraged. Due to the nature of this exhibition the following subject matter can not be depicted:
☆ Nudity
☆ Alcohol and other Drugs
☆ Offensive language
☆ NO TRAASH, work can discuss these issues but cannot promote them.

AI ART We will not be accepting AI submissions to this exhibition out of respect for illustrators and painters whose work was stolen to create current AI models. If you intend to use an AI tool to create or edit an element of your work please reach out to our producer for clarification.

WHEN DOES THE WORK HAVE TO BE READY? If your artwork is not yet ready, do not worry! Most people submit their application and then finish the artwork in time for the exhibition. No one expects the artwork to be ready to go when you submit this form.
