SUMMARY:The Rushcutters
DESCRIPTION:The Rushcutters are an emerging indie rock three-piece from the Top End\, bringing sun-soaked melodies and heartfelt storytelling to Darwins growing alternative scene. Formed in 2025\, the band unites Leo (bass and vocals)\, Lucy (drums)\, and Vinny (guitar) — three musicians bonded by a shared love of Australian favourites like Spacey Jane\, Hockey Dad\, and Gang of Youths.\nBlending jangly guitars\, driving rhythms\, and raw\, reflective lyrics\, The Rushcutters channel the laid-back energy of coastal indie with an earnest edge of their own. In 2025\, they independently released their debut EP\, Only For You — a six-track collection of semi-acoustic\, home-recorded songs that introduced their intimate songwriting and DIY spirit. With new material already in the works\, the band is eager to step into the studio and continue shaping their sound. \nThe Rushcutters are just getting started. \n\nThis event is free to attend and requires no registration. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\n\nDuration: 1 hour \nThis event is family friendly \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available

SUMMARY:Renzo
DESCRIPTION:Violin and Guitar duo Renzo returnfor this special Fringe Festival performance breathing new life and soaring melodies into popular songs from bygone eras. \nRenzo combines the classical talents of violinist Liz Elliott and raw musicality of country rock ‘n roll stomping song-smith JP Carroll (founder Camp Dog Band) in an unexpected instrumental weaving that renders all time favourites unrecognisable and transfixes audiences with their musical interpretations played from the heart. \nJP Carroll first launched on the live Darwin music scene with his dynamic Camp Dog Band including performances at the Fringe and Darwin Festivals. Sharing a not well known love for the violin\, a chance meeting with Liz Elliott who has performed internationally with artists from Cliff Richards to Jimmy Cliff led to the forming of Renzo. \n\nNo registration required\, this event is free to attend. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\n\nDuration: 1 hour \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nFood sold on site\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nSeating available

SUMMARY:Dos Labios
DESCRIPTION:Dos Labios are songwriting duo Leisa and Lucas\, currently writing original indie rock/pop/alt-country ditties about life and love in the Territory and beyond. They were first introduced to the Darwin Fringe-i-verse in 2025 under the moniker Three Lips\, as an impromptu warm-up act for Honkytonk Disco. SUMMARY:Growth by Max Paez
DESCRIPTION:Leafy organisms grow up the walls of Darwin’s Fringe venues\, spreading day by day\, reflecting the location back through itself. Growth is a temporary\, paper-based\, public sculpture installation created by Darwin based artist Max Paez. Each day throughout Darwin Fringe Festival the sculptures\, emulating the growth of epiphytic ferns found in the Top End\, will continue to grow up the walls at the Fringe Festival Hub (Brown’s Mart Theatre\, Courtyard\, and Studio) and Air Raid Arcade (The Birth of Venus Room\, The Main Room\, Top Floor Comedy Room). Look amongst the leaves and find satellite imagery\, environmental textures and other responses to the location. \n\nThe installation can be found at Brown’s Mart and The Last Supper Pizzeria and can be visited during opening hours. \n\nArtist talk information here.
