DESCRIPTION:Could you be the next Australia Poetry Slam Champion? \nThe Darwin Slam heat and Top End final combined guarantees a night where voices ignite the dry season air. \nAll you need is 2 minutes of your original work – ok maybe 4 minutes. \nHow it works: \n\nEntrants have 2 minutes in round 1 to impress the audience judges.\nThe top 5 scoring poets go through to the Top End Final (after a poetic interlude from Huda the Goddess).\nThe top 5 Darwin poets will be joined bt the top 2 poets from Katherine.\nThese 7 poets will face off in the final – with a new 2 minute poem and a new opportunity to impress the judges.\n\nEntries capped at 20 – with sign ups on the night only from 6pm – or join the audience\, click\, cheer and score the poets to determine who will represent the Top End at the national finals. \nThere will be workshops available – so keep an eye on our socials and book in a spot to brush up on those poetry slam skills. \nCome along to a workshop and Please see the national website for rules: https://www.australianpoetryslam.com/rules \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\nNew venue = Bustard Town \nDuration: 2 hours \nContent warnings: Poetry often has themes personal to the individual poets and may cause offence at any time.
