Mathilde Mercadier
Mathilde, a French-born performer, has called the Top End home for nearly 15 years.
Growing up in a small village near Paris, her love for music—and particularly French tunes—was ignited by her father.
After falling for a local boy at 20, Mathilde spent eight whirlwind years in love.
When the flame faded, a new fire was lit: her own voice. For five years, she travelled the world, pushing boundaries and uncovering her truest self. Music became her compass.
Back in Darwin, she began sharing her powerful voice, interpreting French and international classics on local stages. From Bastille Day celebrations to collaborations with local bands, Mathilde has captivated audiences with her unique sound.
This year, she debuts her first cabaret at the Darwin Fringe Festival, blending storytelling, songs, and raw emotions.
Special thanks to her Artistic Director, Ilena Solaja, for her invaluable support in bringing this show to life.
