SUMMARY:Scrag X CANCELLED X
DESCRIPTION:A writer sits at her desk…procrastinating. She’s trying to write a script\, or maybe it’s a screenplay? A book? An unhinged text message to her Dramaturg? \nEnter Scrag\, her main character—loud\, unpredictable and a work in progress. She’s not afraid to bite the hand that writes her. What begins as a light hearted romp through childhood space-themed fairy parties\, job loss and (not) alien smut—quickly unravels. The Dramaturg questions the structure\, especially the Sci-Fi elements (it’s not smut!) and the Writer refuses to delve into a scene she’s too afraid to face. \nA party. A brightly lit kitchen. A Dude-Bro. \nScrag pushes the Writer to confront a sexual assault and explore the line between humour and catharsis\, the chaos of healing and the failures of our justice system. The Writer discovers that storytelling isn’t just about shaping narratives—it’s about facing yourself. \nBut\, like\, totally in a fun way. \nPRODUCTION NOTES\n There is a lockout for this show after 10 minutes which means you will not be aloud to enter or given a refund if you are late. \nDuration: 1 hour \nContent warnings: Adult Themes\, Sexual References\, Sexual violence\, Strong Language \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available

Audiences are transported to the turbulence of the 1930s — an era grappling with technology\, power and uncertainty — only to realise how closely it mirrors our own. \nAs machines grow smarter and faster\, Chaplin’s message feels more urgent than ever. \nThe performance builds toward a bold\, contemporary reimagining of the iconic speech from The Great Dictator — a rallying cry for compassion\, courage and human connection in an increasingly automated world. \nFunny\, moving and fiercely relevant\, Men Are Not Machines is not a warning against technology. \nIt’s a reminder that progress means nothing if we forget what makes us human. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\nDuration: 50 minutes \nContent warnings: Adult Themes\, Loud noises such as bombs/gunshots\, Mental illness \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available\n\n\nBOOK NOW

SUMMARY:The Rushcutters
DESCRIPTION:The Rushcutters are an emerging indie rock three-piece from the Top End\, bringing sun-soaked melodies and heartfelt storytelling to Darwins growing alternative scene. Formed in 2025\, the band unites Leo (bass and vocals)\, Lucy (drums)\, and Vinny (guitar) — three musicians bonded by a shared love of Australian favourites like Spacey Jane\, Hockey Dad\, and Gang of Youths.\nBlending jangly guitars\, driving rhythms\, and raw\, reflective lyrics\, The Rushcutters channel the laid-back energy of coastal indie with an earnest edge of their own. In 2025\, they independently released their debut EP\, Only For You — a six-track collection of semi-acoustic\, home-recorded songs that introduced their intimate songwriting and DIY spirit. With new material already in the works\, the band is eager to step into the studio and continue shaping their sound. \nThe Rushcutters are just getting started. \n\nThis event is free to attend and requires no registration. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\n\nDuration: 1 hour \nThis event is family friendly \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available

SUMMARY:SMOKO
DESCRIPTION:High-vis glamour meets outback grit in this whip-smart\, queer comedy about landfill life\, self-worth\, and the rubbish we carry (inside and out). Join Beccy— outback landfill worker\, hopeless romantic\, and high-vis icon—as she dives headfirst into the filth to find meaning among the mess. With a hapless dating history and a gnawing sense of internal emptiness\, Beccy descends into the depths of the dump and into herself to explore what happens when we begin to feel like the disposable items that have infiltrated our modern lives.\nSMOKO\, directed by Betty Sweetlove and Ruby Conolan Barrett\, is a hilarious\, heartfelt exploration of how we treat each other—and ourselves—in a world obsessed with stuff. Jasmine Story’s sharp writing and fearless performance promise a night of laughter\, realness\, and maybe a little catharsis. \n\n‘Rich in symbolism and pulling every theatre trick out of their dump truck\, it’s a holistic reminder of theatre’s capability to transport you to another world without being limited by the size of the room. This show will make you laugh and wonder why you don’t get to the theatre more often.’ – Jay Darroch\, Magazine6000\, Perth. \n‘A unique concept that draws light on mental health issues\, queer exploration and sexism while also celebrating the unpolished Aussie lifestyle’ – Glam Adelaide. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\n There is a lockout for this show which means you will not be aloud to enter or given a refund if you are late. \nDuration: 1 hour \nContent warnings: Adult Themes\, Examples of/ references to sexism\, Illicit drug use\, Sexual References\, Smoke or haze\, Strong Language \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available\n\n\nBOOK NOW
