SUMMARY:Vinyl Stories: an exploration of sound waves through storytelling and song
DESCRIPTION:Vinyl Stories explores the stories\, interpretations and musical forces that shaped the lives of 3 people of the Territory.\n \nEach performer will select songs on vinyl record that impacted them earlier in life and will share what this meant to them and their story. We will share a listening space with music from vinyl records. \nMelanie Mununggurr is a Djapu mother\, poet\, storyteller and performer\, and the Australian Poetry Slam Champion for her 2018 poem ‘I Run’. \nShalom Kaa is a performer\, director\, singer\, and comedian with roots in a large Māori musical family. \nJohn Rawnsley grew up and has lived between the Centre and Top End of the Territory for his life and will draw on these experiences with a vinyl set as DJ Spinaf-X. \nThe show is for people who appreciate music but also appreciate the deeper forces and interactions that voice\, listening\, hearing\, living and being serves. It will be an appreciation of the connection between the sound waves that a particular song projects and the broader context and worlds we interact. \nImmerse yourself in sensory experiences through story-telling and personal reflection; the sharing of an intimate space and to be present as we share in a collective appreciation and personal insight of a select curation of records. \nWithin each of us is a story and narrative that threads songs\, time and space.\n \nPRODUCTION NOTES\n\nDuration: 1 hour \nContent warnings: mention of death and loss \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available\n\n\nBOOK NOW

SUMMARY:The Songs We Carry - CANCELLED

SUMMARY:The Rushcutters
DESCRIPTION:The Rushcutters are an emerging indie rock three-piece from the Top End\, bringing sun-soaked melodies and heartfelt storytelling to Darwins growing alternative scene. Formed in 2025\, the band unites Leo (bass and vocals)\, Lucy (drums)\, and Vinny (guitar) — three musicians bonded by a shared love of Australian favourites like Spacey Jane\, Hockey Dad\, and Gang of Youths.\nBlending jangly guitars\, driving rhythms\, and raw\, reflective lyrics\, The Rushcutters channel the laid-back energy of coastal indie with an earnest edge of their own. In 2025\, they independently released their debut EP\, Only For You — a six-track collection of semi-acoustic\, home-recorded songs that introduced their intimate songwriting and DIY spirit. With new material already in the works\, the band is eager to step into the studio and continue shaping their sound. \nThe Rushcutters are just getting started. \n\nThis event is free to attend and requires no registration. \n\nPRODUCTION NOTES\n\nDuration: 1 hour \nThis event is family friendly \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available

So it is with great excitement that they debut their brand new duo show at Darwin Fringe\, “deLightfully Scarlet: A Vintage Affair.” \nTipping their sparkly hats to the fun and frivolous speakeasy period\, they explore the racy underbelly of the prohibition era\, which soundtracked the art of the tease with some of our most memorable cabaret moments today. SUMMARY:Spiers: Oops!.. I Boxed It Again.
DESCRIPTION:Stuck overseas? What’s the craziest idea you’ve had to save a buck? Mail yourself home? \n‘Spiers: Oops!.. I Boxed It Again’ is a musical parody inspired by the life events of Reg Spiers\, presented by experimental theatre group Top Goose Company. We follow the saga of Australian wannabe-Olympian who mailed himself from England to Australia and became a folk hero. Never short of ideas\, Spiers also landed himself on death row in Sri Lanka for drug dealing and was granted bail in Australia due to having a pre-paid holiday. \nTo adequately dramatise this epic tale\, our production features parodies of Britney Spears’ back catalogue! \nTop Goose Company was formed by Darwin-based talents Neža Strenčan and Harley Mason\, who have written and will perform this production. \nThis is a truly legendary story of ingenuity and larrkinism deservant of a national holiday. See what it’s about\, before the post goes out! \nPRODUCTION NOTES\n There is a lockout for this show after 5 minutes which means you will not be aloud to enter or given a refund if you are late. \nDuration: 1 hour \nContent warnings: Adult Themes\, Illicit drug use\, Smoke or haze\, Strobing \nAccess: \n\nLicensed Venue\nWheelchair Accessible\nAccessible by public transport\nVarious forms of contact accepted (written\, verbal etc) for complaints and bookings.\nA quiet space is available\nAssistance dogs welcome\nSeating options are available\nCar park suitable for wheelchair transportation available within 2 minutes of the venue entrance.\nGender neutral toilets available\n\n\nBOOK NOW
