Sea Country Music Collective
There’s something special in the waters of Northern Australia…..
This family-friendly show of song, imagery and yarning will take you on a journey of discovery. Hear the exciting news of a unique coastal population of false killer whale (dolphin family) found living in the sea country between the NT’s Coburg Peninsula and WA’s Kimberley region. Along with this discovery, Sea Country Music Collective (SCMC) will share ways everyone can play a part in protecting not only this species, but all of earth’s gems. At the end of the show, join a yarning circle with one of the marine biologists responsible for the discovery to find out more.
SCMC is a collective of musicians aged 11 to 60, from all walks of life, who have come together with the common goal of raising awareness and protecting earth’s treasures. The show will include original songs (written by two SCMC musicians), and pay homage to other Australian songwriters who share our vision.
All proceeds from merchandise sales will go towards raising awareness of these precious sea creatures.
Duration: 1 hour with no interval
