A writer sits at her desk…procrastinating. She’s trying to write a script, or maybe it’s a screenplay? A book? An unhinged text message to her Dramaturg?

Enter Scrag, her main character—loud, unpredictable and a work in progress. She’s not afraid to bite the hand that writes her. What begins as a light hearted romp through childhood space-themed fairy parties, job loss and (not) alien smut—quickly unravels. The Dramaturg questions the structure, especially the Sci-Fi elements (it’s not smut!) and the Writer refuses to delve into a scene she’s too afraid to face.

A party. A brightly lit kitchen. A Dude-Bro.

Scrag pushes the Writer to confront a sexual assault and explore the line between humour and catharsis, the chaos of healing and the failures of our justice system. The Writer discovers that storytelling isn’t just about shaping narratives—it’s about facing yourself.

But, like, totally in a fun way.
