Rude Finger
18+
Nicky Barry is a women of uncertain age and pedigree who identifies as an absolute kween and comedy goddess. Her preferred position is on top of everything and everyone. Women revere, men fear her and that’s the way she very much likes it.
Rude Finger is a show about all the things that are still pissing Nicky off as she moves valiantly into her extremely late thirties – ageism, racism, misogyny and changing the doona cover alone. Nicky explores these topics and more at a blistering pace, leaving her audiences gasping for breath and in desperate need of washing out their minds when the show is done.
Nicky Barry is regarded as a comedy powerhouse. When she’s good, she’s oh so very good. When she’s bad, she’s @#$%ing hilarious!
“Frighteningly funny.” – The Herald Sun
“Nicky Barry is a crackpot.” – Australian Stage
” She’s warm, funny, unpretentious and relatable.” – Arts Hub

Artist bio
Nicky Barry is a woman of uncertain age and pedigree who identifies as a supreme kween and comedy goddess.
Nicky spent her formative years hanging out in dark, scuzzy bars with depraved social misfits. Somewhere way past the age of 30 Nicky decided this was her true calling and decided to give standup comedy a crack.
Having never done a gig, Nicky entered Raw Comedy and won her way into the State Final. She has gone on to become a revered regular on the Melbourne scene and is now in hot demand as an MC and headline act across Australia and occasionally beyond. Her razor-sharp wit and brazen delivery make her one of those comics that few are willing to follow.
