QT* Cabaret Open Mic Night
FRINGE CLUB #1
Ever wanted to hear a babe sing like an angel then sqwark like a seagull begging for chips? Ever wanted to hear someone sing ‘Staying Alive’ while brushing their teeth with an electric toothbrush? Ever wanted the chance to eat coal from santa’s mouth to the tunes of Spandau Ballet? Well, is QT* the place for you!
QT* Cabaret is a place for transgender and gender queer people to release their energy, in many forms, for many reasons. It is a place for cabaret ideas and act creation to manifest, and empower these communities. It’s also just a place for anyone to see some weird shit. QT* is now proudly versatile! Going from a bottom (Tasmania) to trialing the top end (You guys in Darwin), with our very first open mic night! This lets you the audience tell your story, unleash your creative energy, or to get the ego stroke we all desire in this me too age.
This night will be packed with new and experimental art, which means each act could be the most amazing piece of performance art you’ve ever witnessed, changing how you perceive life, or it could be shit… But, you will never forget it.

Artist bio
QT* Cabaret is a cabaret for trans and queer performers (and now others in the LGBTQIA+ banner) to emerge, try new ideas, workshop new material to audiences and meet others in the community in a relaxed and entertaining space.
With our lead artist Hera Fox, QT* Cabaret is a cabaret for trans and queer performers to emerge, try new ideas, workshop new material to audiences and meet others in the community in a relaxed and entertaining space. She mixes cabaret, circus and musical theatre into one giant acid breathing chimera of musical whimsy and physical degustation. She is beauty, she is grace, she got a bit of schmutz on her face, she is Hera.
