Future Flora is an immersive small sculpture exhibition at the bustling Dom’s Bar in Nightcliff. See illuminated metal sculptures embellish this intimate bar and lounge space. These sculptures resemble familiar plant life with an abstract twist. Pieces cast from local flora including the casuarina seed pod and others from far reaches of the world, mushrooms and cacti endemic to South America. These biomorphic sculptures speak to human imposition on the natural environment. They come from Ioanna’s body of work on the future archaeology of humanity. Many of these pieces are crafted with recycled metal waste. Melted beer cans and pewter goblets. Repurposed screws and chains from industrial sites.
Come see this exhibition over cocktails crafted with local native ingredients and premium spirits in Dom’s newly revamped space.
