Dr Phil Good presents A Brief History of Drunking
18+
Ever had a hangover so huge you would eat a whole fried canary? The Romans did.
Fancy freestyling in a swimming pool of beer? Head to Austria.
Humans have known how to party for a very long time. Scientists say (and who are we to argue) that our modern love of alcohol can be traced to the ancient past and that social drinking played a key role in our evolution as we developed into big-brained, social primates.
From stone age binge drinking at the ancient site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey to the Aussie Rum Rebellion and the humble goon bag we have a whole hysterical history of drinking booze.
Prepare to be brewed away in this interactive, fun fact (and grog gag) filled, homage to the great cultural pastime of getting on the “nectar of the gods”.
