Could you be the next Australia Poetry Slam Champion?

The Darwin Slam heat and Top End final combined guarantees a night where voices ignite the dry season air.

All you need is 2 minutes of your original work – ok maybe 4 minutes.

How it works:

• Entrants have 2 minutes in round 1 to impress the audience judges.
• The top 5 scoring poets go through to the Top End Final (after a poetic interlude from Huda the Goddess).
• The top 5 Darwin poets will be joined bt the top 2 poets from Katherine.
• These 7 poets will face off in the final – with a new 2 minute poem and a new opportunity to impress the judges.

Entries capped at 20 – with sign ups on the night only from 6pm – or join the audience, click, cheer and score the poets to determine who will represent the Top End at the national finals.

There will be workshops available – so keep an eye on our socials and book in a spot to brush up on those poetry slam skills.
