What does a sustainable art practice mean to you? What does an arts practice look like during the pandemic? In the midst of cancelled shows and plans, what has remained urgent and vital?
Join Darwin Fringe Festival & Erica McCalman (Art Oracle) for a group discussion on living and working as an artist over the last 5 months. We’re inviting artists to get together to talk about maintaining a sustainable art practice during a pandemic. Come along as we read a short text, then discuss what has been working (or not) for our arts practices this year. Take the time to sit outside in the park while we all discuss our current practice, on living and working creatively during a once in a lifetime pandemic.
We’re asking workshop participants to read The Pandemic Is A Portal by Arundhati Roy before meeting up to talk about their creative work. CLICK HERE 2 READ
We’re asking everyone to send in an artwork, text, essay or video that has been significant to them over the last 4 months to be shared with other workshop attendees prior to the workshop.
