Ms Graham’s granddaughter Chloe is turning 18 and what a better way to spend it than to invite the whole school over to your grandmother’s colossal mansion. The only problem is it seems that everyone in Pinesridge has a motive to put the old snob in her coffin early. As the raging party subsides and the mob has left, a shrieking scream erupts from another room. Ms Graham has died. Chaos explodes and with the help of a very unprofessional detective, our main suspects have been narrowed down. Tyson, Matt, Oliva, Chloe and Samantha all happened to be in the same room at the same time. Was this murder planned? Was it an accident? Did they catch the right person? All will be discovered.
The writer and artist
My name is Bronte Zerafa and I’m a year 12 student at O’Loughlin Catholic College, as long as I can recall I have been enthralled with the arts. As the world drew quiet in 2020, I wrote, produced and performed two original plays with classmates sparking an obsession with creating contemporary, inclusive, Darwin-based youth theatre. This show is a dynamic collaboration of emerging artists who will drive Territorian Theatre into the future. Through the support of the school, peers and personal sacrifice “18 candles on a coffin” is my first independent show.
